It’s time I say goodbye once and for all [Poem]
Even for me, I can no longer withstand
I arrived and I hugged you tight,
It was a surprise, but not the part that felt right.
The squeeze was light, full of colorful comfort,
Feeling the relaxing breath to remove all the hurt.
She is loved more than those who are loved,
Because her gravity strikes and rises above.
She pulls in those who are attracted to the rain,
Truly uncovered by a source of euphoric pain,
Stemming into the energy that I tend to gain,
But I’m honestly still trying to remove my stain.
Of understanding where I stand,
Inside and out of my body I try to land,
Falling and slipping into my own quicksand,
Emotions take me on a journey that’s far too grand,
Even for me, I can no longer withstand.
You see.
With you, I never feel the weight of the past
Always present, this moment always tends to last.
It’s time for me to retire, As I carefully admire
Hang up my coat, and sit back let you acquire.
It’s time I say goodbye once and for all,
Standing tall.
Walking back to my yoga mat,
But, I can lie, Say I like it like that
